Dual Enrollment (Formerly Known as AEP)
PREREQUISITES: Students must be in 11th or 12th grade to apply, or must turn 16 by the first day of college classes.
College and Career Prep provides a Dual Enrollment, formerly known as Advanced Education Program, partnership with the Folsom Lake College satellite campus adjacent to our school. Students can, and are encouraged, to take community college courses while still in high school. Students earn high school and college credit concurrently.
This opportunity is tuition-free. The Dual Enrollment is an excellent opportunity to start on the path to career advancement. In addition, credits earned are transferrable to colleges and universities. Meta-majors at the college include, but are not limited to: Business and Management, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Public Service, Health, and Education, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Folsom Lake College and the staff at College and Career Prep, work together to provide a support system for potential and participating students. The team includes an Outreach Specialist from Folsom Lake College to assist with enrollment and financial aid applications.
